The first online airline for Mack Air (Pvt) Ltd, Gulf Air started its operations out of Colombo in December 1980. Mack Air currently holds both Cargo and Passenger GSAs for Gulf Air. Gulf Air is the national carrier for the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman. The airline operates a fleet of 34 aircraft to 47 scheduled services in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. Though the airline is not part of an airline alliance it is a member of the One-World global explorer fare and has extensive code-share services with other airlines and special partnerships with Jet Airways and Oman Air Frequent Flyer Program. Gulf Air's hubs are Bahrain International Airport (BAH) and Seeb International Airport (MCT). Gulf Air crew comprises of over 80 nationalities which speak over 70 different languages. The trademark catch phrase for this customer friendly carrier is 'Colour Your Sky'.
